It is often said today that the needs of older people are not necessarily financial; the real poverty is isolation and loneliness. The trustees of the Charity of William Hobbayne agree and, together with the fact that people are living longer, the Charity’s provision of the Hobbayne Centre has enabled many older people to join in the activities on offer, meet others and feel less isolated.
Although several of the weekly activities are very suitable for older people (line dancing, keep fit, yoga etc) – see WEEKLY ACTIVITIES, there are 3 sessions weekly at the Hobbayne Centre which are specifically for older people:-
