Grants for Educational Settings

The Educational Trust of William Hobbayne

We welcome applications from Educational settings.  The applications must be for the benefit of families and individuals who are in need, hardship or distress within Hanwell.

  • We provide grants to schools and other educational organisations in Hanwell. This includes youth groups including, but not limited to Scouts, Guides,  Cubs and Brownies. 

  • The Charity supports educational trips and uniforms for pupil premium students and also supports educational projects.

  • A small selection of recipients have included :

    • St Marks School (Breakfast Club, school awards, PGL and a reading acceleration project),South

    • Hanwell Cubs (Camporee),

    • Hanwell Rainbows (play equipment and uniforms),

    • Hobbayne Primary School (School Trips, uniforms, food parcels),

    • Mayfield School (Residential Trips, uniforms and food parcels),

    • St Josephs (Music lessons, PGL and uniforms),

    • Brentside High School (PGL and School uniforms),

    • Drayton Manor High School (Educational Equipment),

    • Elthorne High School (Uniform and music lessons),

Funds available to The Educational Trust are limited.

  • You must let us have your application seven working days before our monthly meeting otherwise the Grant application will be held until the following month.

What Happens Next

  • Once we receive a grant application we will assess it.

  • The trustees meet on the second Monday of the month.  At this point they will decide whether to make the grant.

  • We will let you know whether the application has been successful within five working days of the meeting.

  • Payment will then be arranged.
