Burns Night Celebration

Well done to all the volunteers for another amazing Burns Night at The William Hobbayne Centre. It is a lovely community event, organised entirely by volunteers who take care of the planning, decorating, and cooking, and are ably supported on the night by the GoodGym.

The evening begins with the traditional Address to the Haggis, followed by a wee dram, which this year was kindly donated by Claire Tighe, Councillor for North Hanwell (an act of Celtic spirit with Irish Whiskey for a Scottish toast)

After a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties, and cranachan for dessert, the dancing begins. Our volunteer Dee acted as the caller for the Scottish dancing and—although no awards would be won—everyone had a fantastic time.

A big thank you to all our volunteers and to the GoodGym for their wonderful support and amazing dancing!
